DO YOU KNOW WHO MAKES YOUR CLOTHES? WHO MADE THEM? DO YOU KNOW WHAT MATERIALS THEY ARE MADE OF AND WHERE THEY COME FROM?
OF COURSE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT GLASSES!
LET’S DWELL ON THE TOPIC: ARE WE SUSTAINABLE?
We answer this directly by questioning the big brands in our industry and questioning ourselves even before that.
How do we answer the questions that the #fashionrevolution movement poses to the entire fashion world?
In Fashion Revolution week we try to reflect on a few points.
SUSTAINABILITY
our ๐๐ถ๏ธ๐ are made entirely in Florence, with a very short supply chain all within Atelier Woo Class.
The wood veneer is knife-cut in the country of origin, which guarantees its genuineness and the maintenance of #economic resources ๐ต locally.
For example, #betulla comes from Finland. It gives us confirmation that it is a clean material ๐ค๏ธ that has not undergone any alteration or event derived from nuclear contamination.
๐ฑ
The use of EU 71/3 compliant materials ensures that there are no hazardous organic volatile solvents (formaldhyide-free)
The main feature is care in the use of resources and respect for #nature and people’s health.
From the design stage, thought was given to the best use of the material used so that very little waste was generated. This results in lower economic and environmental costs of disposal processes.
In fact, the small waste components generated by milling the glasses are fed back into the production cycle.
The scrap becomes an opportunity to recycle valuable material by triggering a virtuous circle.
โป๏ธ The components are used for the creation of small fashion accessories and/or for educational purposes during #workshops of creative experience of approaching manual arts ๐๐ ๏ธ intended for everyone.
The ‘attention to ergonomics and the creation of a high quality product that is produced exclusively to order, reduces the possibility of overproduction and results in the consumer paying more attention and #awareness before choosing to dispose of a good.
