One day Kenneth walked into our shop.
Kenneth is a young student from Taiwan who came to Florence to attend an intensive craftsmanship course at a very prestigious school. His passion for handmade items was evident from the moment we first met.
Kenneth already had significant experience with bespoke items, both in clothing and eyewear, wearing glasses from one of the world’s most renowned fashion houses. But what brought him to us was his curiosity to discover a different material: natural wood.
He wanted a pair of unique glasses that told a story, that were textured, authentic, and far from conventional shapes. To create his own custom-made glasses, he drew inspiration from our Bridge line, inspired by the great iron and glass architecture of the last century, and from there we began to build something that truly responded to his desire. He was immediately captivated by the strong graphic lines of our capsule collection dedicated to the great names in architecture of the last century.
We experimented, dared, and modeled them on his Asian face. The result was a very original model, made with a special multilayer of teak and maple, capable of combining strength and lightness, tradition and modernity.
A unique piece, just like Kenneth’s journey, who will never meet anyone else in his life wearing a pair of glasses like his. It was very exciting for him, and for us too.
